The Bieg Piastów was held in southwestern Poland, on tracks in the Jizera Mountains in Szklarska Poreba, at an altitude of 850 to 1040 meters above sea level. Start and finish was located at the new and modern resort DCS Polana Jakuszycka.

In the women's competition, the 27-year-old Tereza Hujerova from Liberec showed excellent form, defeating her compatriots Karolina Grohova and the experienced 46-year-old Zuzana Kocumova.
